That gown looks familiar, doesn’t it? It’s a long story, but this music video was the most wonderful Christmas surprise! I’ve talked way too much about this dress already (for like maybe four years straight equivalent if you’ve added all the social media posts made about it) so I’ll talk more about this band instead. I’ve been so out of the music scene in the country because of various reasons. But the good news is – when new channels have opened up and I got an actual working internet (believe me, Philippine internet is always a grimm tragedy) – I am exposed to new sounds I thought I can only find in the music of outside the Philippines. Mr. Bones and The Boneyard Circus just…sings to the creature of darkness that I am. They are perfect. And as I listen and listen and listen, they only get perfect-er. I cannot ask for more. Every year in the design career, there always have to be a Christmasy dress order. There always will be one, whether it is liked or not. And often times, with all the repetitiveness and constricting craft of making bridesmaid dresses three months straight, this commission will be the most refreshing thing you’d ever do to wrap up the busy year. Ten to Forever

When a bride entrusts you to dress her girls, the pressure is on to do better than what you already can. But here’s a secret: the key to designing, executing, and delivering a successful entourage is to give importance, love and care to the wedding as much as the bride and groom do. That’s why when the couple hugged me towards the end of the reception and told me the dresses were “super ganda!”, I almost teared up. After their beautiful wedding, it was all I needed as a happy ending to the project we’ve been planning since 2014.
